We are committed to safeguarding your privacy rights and ensuring that your personal data is protected.

We do not share your data with any third-party websites, however, you may want to connect with us on Facebook or other social media platforms and can do so. Sustainable Way CIC (“us” or “we”) is registered in Scotland as company number SC668228. Our registered office is at 21 Leslie Street, Blairgowrie, Scotland, PH10 6AH. As a Social Enterprise we offer a Zero Waste Shop & Refill Station, School Uniform Shop, Gift Card & Loyalty Scheme and a Shoe Repair service, all profits are reinvested back  into the enterprise or local community.

What personal data do we collect?

Personal data means information that can directly or indirectly identify you. ("Personal Data") We may collect personal data from when you use any of our services such as your full name, address and contact as described below in more detail.

Sustainable Way CIC will not share, sell or rent your personally identifiable information, gathered as a result of filling out forms on the site (newsletter sign up, contact or request a quote), to anyone.

An individual is someone who has requested to be included on our mailing list. To be included we will ask you to confirm acceptance with the process detailed below and hence to provide your permission for us to email you. We may hold the following information:

This information is held securely within our website dashboard and email marketing software with password access control only available to Sustainable Way CIC.


We will use this information to send you regular newsletters that may include some or all of the following:

· What’s On locally

· Information about the us, the town and projects

What we do:

We record whether you open our newsletters – this can let us know whether you are interested in the information we send you. If you do not open our newsletters for a 12-month period we will remove you from our list, otherwise we will keep you on our list. You will always have the opportunity to unsubscribe within every newsletter.

We record any links you click in a newsletter – this can give us an indication that you are interested in a particular subject, story or service. We may then contact you to ask you if you would like more information and we may ask you if you would like to be added to a mailing list relevant to the link you clicked. You can decline to be included and you can unsubscribe in each newsletter.

We do not share your data with any third party unless we obtain your explicit permission.

School Uniform scheme

We use legitimate interest as our legal basis for processing the personal data relating to the loyalty and gift card schemes.

Businesses/Community Groups/Organisations

Communication with local businesses, organisations and community groups is key to the success of BRDT and the delivery of the Community Action Plan. With your agreement we will hold your contact details in one of our mailing lists so we can keep in touch with you.

We may hold the following information:

· First name, last name and email address.

· Business name and details.

· Invoice details (website listing, magazine advert etc).


We will use this information to send you regular newsletters that may include some or all of the following:

· What’s On locally

· Information about the Trust, town and projects

· Updates and local news

What we do:

We will use the information to provide our contracted services for you, raising invoices and to keep in touch with you – we deem these legitimate reasons to hold your information and by contracting with us you agree to us holding these details. We do not share your data with any third party unless specifically detailed in your contract.

What are your rights?

If certain requirements are fulfilled, you have the right to:

  • Obtain from us confirmation as to whether or not we process Personal Data from you and, where that is the case, access to your Personal Data;

  • Rectification of inaccurate Personal Data;

Additionally, as well as unsubscribing directly from each newsletter, you can email and request to be removed. We will confirm your removal by email reply and retain your email and confirmation as a record of deletion. Clicking the unsubscribe in our newsletters will be recorded and retained in our email marketing software.
